Pentagon finds reports of mass graves in Gaza 'deeply troubling'
The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) stated that reports regarding the mass graves discovered in Gaza are "deeply troubling" and that the matter should be investigated.

Pentagon Press Secretary Brigadier General Patrick Ryder answered questions at a daily press briefing.
Using the phrase "deeply troubling" for the reports regarding mass graves in Gaza, Ryder said that U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has not held any discussions with his Israeli counterpart on this specific issue.
Ryder stated that the U.S. government has raised this with the Israelis at various levels, adding, "From the Department of Defense's perspective, I don't have anything to offer other than that we believe these reports should be investigated and looked into in detail."
Mass graves began to be discovered in Khan Yunis after the Israeli Army withdrew from the city on April 7, following months of ground occupation in Gaza.
Palestinian sources had announced that the bodies of 190 people of various age groups, including men and women killed by Israeli soldiers, had been recovered.
