Pentagon: We are monitoring the Russia-North Korea relationship

US Department of Defense Press Secretary Major General Pat Ryder stated in a press briefing that they are closely monitoring the official talks held between Russia and North Korea last week, and that North Korea is providing material and moral support to Russia in the war in Ukraine.

Pentagon Press Secretary Major General Ryder evaluated the face-to-face meeting between Russian Deputy Defense Minister Aleksey Krivoruchko and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Ryder said, "Regarding his visit to North Korea, I will not offer any reaction other than to say that we continue to monitor this relationship. Given the fact that North Korea is enabling Russia's continued illegal occupation of Ukraine through material and moral support, this is certainly concerning. Again, we will continue to monitor this issue closely."
