Pentagon responds to claims that the US will establish a base in Ayn al-Arab
The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) stated that no requests have been made to them regarding the vehicle attack in New Orleans and the Tesla explosion in Las Vegas that took place on the first day of the year. Claims that the US would establish a base in Ayn al-Arab had been on the agenda. Following these developments, a statement came from the Pentagon.

Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh made evaluations at the first press briefing of the year.
Describing the incidents in New Orleans and Las Vegas as "tragic" and stating that they are closely monitoring the developments, Singh said, "To date, no support has been requested from the Department of Defense regarding either the New Orleans or Las Vegas incidents."
When asked by journalists about the fact that the suspect in New Orleans was a veteran and the suspect in Las Vegas was a soldier, Singh replied, "Of course, the military will provide medical records, meaning any assistance we can provide or that is requested. Of course, we will support the investigations being conducted regarding the New Orleans or Las Vegas incidents."
Regarding journalists' questions about the mental health of both suspects, Singh noted that the vast majority of military personnel perform their duties with honor and that they encourage all military members who need psychological treatment to seek help.
"NO PLAN TO BUILD A MILITARY BASE"
At the press briefing, the Pentagon spokesperson responded to questions about whether the US military is building a new military base in the Ayn al-Arab district of northern Syria by saying, "I have seen some of those reports; there is no plan to build a military base in Kobani (Ayn al-Arab)."
Repeating the claim that they are in Syria to permanently defeat ISIS, Singh claimed that there are no US soldiers in Ayn al-Arab and said, "There is no plan or intention to establish any base in Kobani at this time. I am not sure where these reports are coming from."
Singh argued that they are in favor of ending violence in Syria and that the US supports Syria's territorial integrity and political stability process, but that this depends on the elimination of ISIS and similar terrorist groups.
