The Iranian judiciary announced that Kourosh Keyvani, who was accused of transmitting information and footage regarding strategic areas to the Israeli intelligence service Mossad, was executed following a decision by the Supreme Court. According to official information reported by the Fars News Agency, Keyvani's previously issued sentence was finalized at the end of the judicial process.
Keyvani was taken into custody on the fourth day of the conflict last June, during a period when the US and Israel were continuing their attacks on Iran and a 12-day clash was taking place between the parties. During this period, many other individuals alleged to have been in contact with Israel were also arrested by security forces.
Iranian officials state that strict measures will continue to be taken in the coming days regarding similar accusations and that they will act without compromise against actions that threaten national security.
