Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian wrote a letter addressing the American people, asking, "Exactly whose interests does this war serve?" Stating that Iran is not a threat to the American people, Pezeshkian said, "The Iranian people do not harbor hostility toward any nation, including the people of America, Europe, or neighboring countries."

In his letter to the American public, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that the Iranian people do not harbor hostility toward any nation. Pezeshkian stated, "Portraying Iran as a threat aligns neither with historical reality nor with the observable facts of today."

Pezeshkian said, "The Iranian people do not harbor hostility toward any nation, including the people of America, Europe, or neighboring countries. Despite having faced foreign interference and oppression repeatedly throughout their proud history, Iranians have always clearly distinguished between governments and the people governed by those governments."

Noting that attacks on Iran's vital infrastructure target the Iranian people, Pezeshkian remarked that such actions have consequences that extend far beyond Iran's borders.

"Exactly whose interests does this war serve?" Pezeshkian asked, continuing: "Was there truly an objective threat from Iran that would justify such a reaction? What does the killing of innocent children, the destruction of factories producing cancer medication, or boasting about 'returning a country to the Stone Age' achieve other than further damaging America's reputation in the world?"

"Iran's actions are a legitimate defense, a measured response"

Stating that Iran is not in an aggressive posture, Pezeshkian said, "What Iran has done is a measured response based entirely on the right to legitimate defense. This is by no means an initiation of war or an act of aggression."
