Pezeshkian's response to Trump's negotiation call

Reacting to Trump's call, Pezeshkian said, "Iran is in favor of dialogue on equal terms. You cannot threaten Iran on one hand and call for negotiations on the other. CALL FOR UNITY

Calling for unity in the face of domestic threats, Pezeshkian said, "If we set aside internal disputes and stand in unity, the enemy cannot take action against us, and we can solve the people's problems. We need to work together, hand in hand, for the people. Some people have politicized everything in the country. They even view services provided for the people as a political issue."

"THE PEOPLE'S ECONOMIC SITUATION IS NOT GOOD"

Touching upon the economic situation, Pezeshkian emphasized that the Iranian people are struggling with the cost of living, stating, "The people's economic situation is not good. This year, we must focus more on production and the efficient use of resources compared to last year. We need social support programs. To ensure no individual in Iran goes hungry, we are establishing a new structure with the support of philanthropists and the participation of the public. We believe we can overcome these problems through a mosque and neighborhood-oriented service network."

LETTER DIPLOMACY

US President Donald Trump announced in an interview with Fox Business Network on March 7 that he had sent a letter addressed to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and that he wanted to negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran. Trump's letter was delivered to Khamenei through Anwar Gargash, an advisor to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Iran responded to the letter via Oman on March 26.

TRUMP'S THREAT OF ATTACK

US President Donald Trump said in an interview with NBC on March 30 that if an agreement could not be reached on nuclear negotiations with Iran, they would carry out an attack and impose new sanctions. Claiming that talks between Iranian and US officials were ongoing, Trump stated that they could bomb the country if Iran did not agree to negotiate.

Finally, in a statement on Thursday, Trump argued that direct talks with Iran would be more effective, saying, "I think it would be better if we had direct talks.
