Plane makes emergency landing
In Japan, an All Nippon Airways (ANA) plane made an emergency landing during a domestic flight after a crack was detected in the cockpit window.

According to an ANA official, a crack was detected in the cockpit window of the domestic flight traveling from Sapporo in the north to Toyama in the south while it was in the air.
The Boeing 737-800 model aircraft returned for safety reasons due to the aforementioned crack, which was identified in the outer layer of the cockpit window. The plane, which landed at New Chitose Airport in the northern city of Sapporo from where it had departed, was taken in for maintenance. No one was injured on the flight, which carried 59 passengers and a crew of 6.
US had launched an investigation
The US Federal Aviation Administration had announced that an investigation had been launched into Boeing regarding the incident on January 5, in which a part of an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 passenger plane tore off after takeoff.
Meanwhile, Turkish Airlines (THY) had also announced that it had withdrawn its five Boeing 737 MAX 9 type aircraft from service.
