Poland decides to close Russian consulate
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski announced that Russia is behind sabotage attempts in Poland and allied countries, and that for this reason, they have decided to close the Russian Consulate in the city of Poznan.

Poland has decided to close the Russian consulate. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated in his announcement that the prosecutor's office has recently presented strong evidence to the court indicating that a foreign intelligence agency is behind sabotage attempts in the country.
Sikorski said, "As Foreign Minister, I have information that the Russian Federation is behind sabotage attempts in Poland and allied countries; therefore, I have decided to revoke the operating permit for the Russian Federation's consulate in Poznan. The consulate's staff will be declared persona non grata in the Republic of Poland."
Sikorski demanded that Russia put an end to the hybrid war it is conducting. Stating that they reserve the right to take further steps if the hybrid war continues, Sikorski said, "We will not take a single step back; we are defending the Republic of Poland and the Polish people."
"RUSSIA'S RESPONSE WILL BE PAINFUL"
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova described Poland's decision as another hostile step, stating that Russia's response would be painful. In addition to the Russian Federation's embassy in the capital, Warsaw, Russia has consulates in the Polish cities of Gdansk, Krakow, and Poznan.
