Poll results released for US presidential election

As the date for the presidential election in the country approaches, polls conducted jointly by some media organizations and polling companies have revealed that the two parties are running neck-and-neck and that the results in swing states will have a major impact on the election.

According to a poll conducted by The Washington Post in Pennsylvania, which is considered to have a huge influence on determining the outcome of presidential elections, Harris and Trump are "statistically tied."

The poll revealed that one week after the live televised debate between Harris and Trump, likely voters in Pennsylvania supported both candidates at 48 percent, and when only registered voters were considered, Harris gained 48 percent support while Trump gained 47 percent.

In Pennsylvania, when poll participants were asked about the live debate between the two leaders, 54 percent said Harris performed better, 27 percent said Trump did, while 17 percent shared the view that neither won the debate.

Pennsylvania voters supported Harris 48 to 45 percent on protecting democracy, while they preferred Trump 51 to 42 percent on the economy and 52 to 39 percent on immigration policies.

In Pennsylvania, which is among the group known as "swing states" because it has shown different political preferences in different elections, Trump in the 2016 presidential election and Biden in the 2020 election both managed to finish the race ahead by narrow margins and secure the presidential seat in the White House.

A NATIONAL POLL SHOWED BOTH CANDIDATES TIED AT 47 PERCENT

According to new polls conducted by The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and Siena College, Kamala Harris largely impressed voters in her debate with Donald Trump, but she has not yet managed to gain a decisive lead in her presidential campaign.

In the nationwide election poll, it was reported that Trump and Harris share 47 percent support and the race continues neck-and-neck.

In the national poll, likely voters responded 67 percent positively to the question, "How successful do you think Kamala Harris was in the presidential debate?" while this figure remained at 40 percent when the same question was asked for Trump.

However, unlike the results of The Washington Post, the same poll specifically for the state of Pennsylvania indicated that Harris was 4 points ahead of Trump with 50 percent to 46 percent.

In The New York Times, where the poll was shared, it was commented that it is "surprising" that Harris is stronger in Pennsylvania than nationwide, and that the swing state, which has been among the most contested states since 2016, "shows more Republican tendencies than the country as a whole."

Considering that both polls were completed before the second assassination attempt on Trump on September 15, it is a matter of curiosity whether there will be any changes in new polls.
