President could not be elected in Kosovo: Parliament dissolved
The necessary majority for the presidential election could not be reached in Kosovo due to an opposition boycott. With the expiration of the deadline granted by the Constitutional Court, the Parliament was dissolved, and the country has entered an early election process.

The presidential election process in Kosovo has concluded without a result. The General Assembly of the Assembly of Kosovo convened multiple times throughout the day to elect a president, but the two-thirds majority required for the first round could not be reached because opposition deputies did not attend the sessions.
The General Assembly, which met for the last time during the night, dispersed at 00:00 local time without achieving any results. Upon the failure to elect a new president within the time frame granted by the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, the process for the dissolution of the parliament was triggered.
In her closing speech, Speaker of the Assembly Albulena Haxhiu stated that the process and the current legislative term had come to an end. Referring to the Constitutional Court's decision, Haxhiu announced that the Assembly is considered dissolved and that elections will be announced within the framework of the constitutional calendar.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in his assessment shortly before the deadline expired, said, "There is nothing else we can do now." Criticizing the opposition for not attending the sessions, Kurti said that what happened would be evaluated by the voters.
