President Erdoğan meets with German Chancellor Scholz

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the Turkish House in New York, where he traveled for the 79th United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, bilateral relations between Turkey and Germany, the systematic attacks carried out by Israel in Palestinian territories, particularly in Gaza, the revitalization of Turkey's European Union membership process, and regional and global issues were discussed.

President Erdoğan stated during the meeting that Turkey and Germany are two allies with deep-rooted relations and ties, that efforts to develop cooperation in every field, evaluate opportunities, and diversify are ongoing, and that Turkey is ready for steps that will benefit both countries.

President Erdoğan noted that it is necessary to revitalize relations between Turkey and the European Union, and that support is expected from Germany, particularly for the resolution of the visa issue as soon as possible.
