The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, who has been at the center of speculation, announced on March 22 that she was undergoing cancer treatment.
King Charles, who ascended to the throne following the death of Queen Elizabeth, is also battling cancer.
SHE HAD RELEASED A MESSAGE
Middleton released a social media video message on September 9 announcing that her treatment had concluded.
In the video posted to her social media account with the caption "A message from Catherine, Princess of Wales," Middleton stated, "As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
SEEN FOR THE FIRST TIME
The Princess of Wales has appeared at an event for the first time since undergoing cancer treatment.
The Princess attended the Festival of Remembrance held at the Royal Albert Hall with her husband, Prince William.
The famous couple was accompanied by King Charles, Princess Anne, and her husband, Timothy Laurence.
WORE A BLACK OUTFIT
The 42-year-old Princess chose to wear a black outfit for the grand event.
Meanwhile, Prince William described the period his wife was undergoing treatment as the "hardest year" of his life.
At the end of his visit to South Africa, Prince William spoke about both his wife and his father being diagnosed with cancer.
"IT WAS THE HARDEST YEAR OF MY LIFE"
The 42-year-old Prince said, "It's been dreadful. It's probably been the hardest year in my life. So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult."
Buckingham Palace announced in February that King Charles had cancer and would begin treatment.
Just six weeks later, it was announced that the Princess of Wales was undergoing chemotherapy.
COMPLETED HER TREATMENT
King Charles has returned to his Royal duties, and the Princess has completed her chemotherapy treatment.
Prince William said, "I'm so proud of my wife, I'm proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done. But, from a personal family point of view, it's been, yeah, it's been brutal."
