Putin and Sisi hold 'Gaza' talks
Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

According to a statement from the Kremlin, Putin and Sisi held a phone call.
During the conversation, where the situation in the Israel-Palestine conflict zone was addressed, both sides expressed their "deep concern over the unprecedented civilian casualties, including thousands of children and women."
SOLUTIONS DISCUSSED
During the meeting, it was emphasized that "the bloodshed must be stopped as soon as possible, hostages must be released, and humanitarian aid must be provided to the civilian population in Gaza, and that Russia and Egypt share an approach toward resolving the situation in the region through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state living in peace and security with Israel, based on international law."
Putin thanked Sisi for the support Egypt provided during the evacuation process of Russian citizens from the Gaza Strip.
