Putin convenes Security Council following Ukraine's 'Operation Spider Web' attack
Ukraine launched simultaneous FPV drone strikes on air bases deep within Russia as part of "Operation Spider Web." It was reported that more than 40 warplanes were hit and that the operation was carried out under the personal supervision of Zelensky. Following the attack, which is being referred to in Russia as "Vlad's Pearl Harbor," Moscow is seeking a response through a security summit.

According to sources from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the attack, dubbed "Operation Spider Web" and carried out after approximately a year and a half of preparations, was conducted under the personal supervision of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
It was stated that in the attack, FPV-type unmanned aerial vehicles infiltrated Russian territory, after which the roofs of mobile wooden cabins placed on trucks were opened remotely, allowing the UAVs to launch strikes on strategic air bases in Russia.
While Ukraine claims that more than 40 aircraft belonging to the Russian Air Force were hit and that 2 billion dollars in damage was caused, it was reported that the struck aircraft included TU-95 ("Bear"), TU-22M3, and A-50 models. Footage also showed one of the drones participating in the attack taking off from a cabin on a truck to carry out its mission.
Following these attacks, Putin convened the Security Council and met with council members to discuss what strategy to pursue against Ukraine's increasing attacks.
