Putin meets with Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who arrived in the Russian capital, Moscow, for official talks.

According to a statement released by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting covered bilateral relations as well as regional threats, developments in Ukraine, nuclear issues, and international matters. During the meeting, Araghchi personally delivered a letter addressed to Putin from Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Detailing Iran's position on bilateral relations, regional developments, and global issues, Araghchi highlighted the importance of mutual understanding and cooperation for regional stability. Araghchi also pointed out that the "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement" planned to be signed between Iran and Russia is an indicator of the cooperation between the two countries, stating that relations should be deepened in all areas.

Russian President Putin, for his part, conveyed his best wishes to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between Iran and Russia. Putin stated that cooperation and coordination on bilateral, regional, and international issues serve the interests of both peoples and strengthen regional stability.

Meanwhile, regarding the content of the letter, Araghchi had previously stated, "The letter includes topics related to bilateral relations as well as significant international and regional developments."
