Putin: We are ready to talk with EU and NATO countries

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a new message to Western countries, saying, "We are ready to discuss important issues with our colleagues in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and BRICS, as well as with other international organizations, and with European Union and NATO countries."

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with military academy graduates at the Kremlin Palace.

In his speech, Putin stated that Russia consistently advocates for the maintenance of global stability and a fair, democratic, and multipolar world order, noting that they are ready to talk with European Union and NATO countries.

Putin used the following expressions:

"In a meeting I held recently with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry, I summarized our vision for establishing equal and indivisible security in Eurasia. We are ready to discuss these important issues with our colleagues in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and BRICS, as well as with other international organizations, and with European Union and NATO countries. Of course, when they are ready for it too."

"WE WILL DEVELOP THE NUCLEAR TRIAD"

Putin said, "At the same time, taking into account this challenging international situation and the emergence of new challenges and risks, we will continue to build a defense policy based on advanced technologies and science, effective financial and economic solutions, and to comprehensively develop our Armed Forces. Primarily, we will increase the supply of various types of unmanned aerial vehicles, armored vehicles, high-precision weapons, attack aircraft, enemy detection and counter-battery systems, and control and communication systems to the troops on the front line (Russian soldiers in Ukraine). We will also work on other modern, high-tech weapons and equipment that have entered mass production."

Emphasizing that they will develop the "nuclear triad" consisting of strategic bombers, intercontinental ballistic missiles, and submarines, Putin stated, "We plan to further develop the nuclear triad to guarantee strategic deterrence and maintain the balance of power in the world."

Putin added, "Of course, we will strengthen the potential of all units of the armed forces and increase their combat capabilities. We are working on unique features and promising models. We aim to further develop the command and control systems of units and weapons, increase the intensity and quality of combat training, and conduct exercises and training, including the participation of friendly states."
