Putin wins election with 87.8% of the vote according to exit polls!
According to exit polls, Vladimir Putin has won the Russian presidential election with 87.8% of the vote. Once official results are announced, Putin will take the oath of office to serve his 5th term as President of Russia.

The Russian presidential election was won by Vladimir Putin, who received 87.8% of the vote according to exit polls.
According to the Russian Central Election Commission, the three-day presidential election in the Russian Federation concluded with the closing of polls at 21:00 Moscow time in the country's westernmost region of Kaliningrad.
The elections, held in more than 80 regions across the country, were conducted both in-person at polling stations and via remote electronic voting.
Remote voting was carried out in a total of 29 regions, including Moscow.
In the election, which saw a voter turnout of over 74%, incumbent President Vladimir Putin won with 87.8% of the vote according to exit polls.
According to the Fom company's exit poll, Nikolay Kharitonov from the Communist Party received 4.7% of the vote, Vladislav Davankov from the New People Party received 3.6%, and Leonid Slutsky from the Liberal Democratic Party received 2.5%. 1.4% of the votes were considered invalid.
Ella Pamfilova, Chair of the Russian Central Election Commission, stated that the elections went well.
The election was monitored by 1,115 international observers and experts from 129 countries.
From Turkey, the elections were followed by Murat Baybatur, Chairman of the Turkey-Russia Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group and AK Party Manisa Deputy, AK Party Ankara Deputy Osman Gökçek, and AK Party Istanbul Deputy Yahya Çelik.
The newly elected president will serve a 6-year term. Putin, who emerged victorious according to initial data, will take the oath of office after the official results are announced and will serve his 5th term as President of Russia.
