Clear message from Putin to Western leaders! He said 'impossible'...

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview given to journalist Tucker Carlson in Moscow, addressed the US, EU, and NATO, stating that they must understand that it is "impossible" for the West to defeat Russia in the war it is waging with Ukraine.

"IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DEFEAT RUSSIA IN UKRAINE"

The Russian leader said, "Up until now, there has been noise and screaming about inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield. But now, it seems, they are beginning to realize that it is very difficult to achieve this, if it is possible at all. In my opinion, it is impossible."

While explaining at length the historical justifications for the war he launched against Ukraine in February 2022, Putin addressed the Washington administration, saying, "If you really want to stop the war, you need to stop supplying weapons."

In the interview, which coincided with the days marking the end of the second year of the war in Ukraine, Putin also signaled that the path to negotiations is open, saying that Russia and Ukraine will reach an agreement "sooner or later."

Referring many times to the peace talks held in Istanbul between Ukraine and Russia with Turkey's mediation, Putin claimed that the war could have ended long ago if the decisions agreed upon in the Istanbul talks had been implemented, but that Ukraine took a step back due to the dissuasion of Western states, led by the US.

HE EXPRESSED HIS DISCOMFORT WITH NATO'S EXPANSION EFFORTS

In the interview, which lasted more than two hours, Russian leader Vladimir Putin clearly expressed his discomfort with the expansion efforts NATO has been carrying out since the early 1990s.

Arguing that there is no need for NATO to expand, Putin said, "If NATO expands, everything will be the same as during the Cold War, only it will be closer to Russia's borders. That's it."

Vladimir Putin said that the US did not keep its promise on this issue, stating, "You had a promise that NATO would not expand to the east, but this has happened 5 times."

Upon Carlson's question, Putin stated that there is no question of Russia invading other NATO member countries in the region (Poland and Latvia) or the European continent in general.

Stating that he has "nothing to talk about" with US President Joe Biden because of the US providing arms support to Ukraine, Putin explained that the election of a new president in the US presidential elections to be held in November would not "change the attitude of the elites towards Russia."

The Russian leader touched upon the necessity for international law to change due to the shift in the global balance of power.

Putin also noted that an "agreement could be reached" regarding the imprisoned Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reporter Evan Gershkovich.

Stating that they want to resolve this issue, Putin said, "However, there are certain terms being discussed through special service channels. I believe an agreement can be reached."

Putin stated that Gershkovich was "secretly gathering information by conspiring" and that what he did was "exactly espionage," adding that delegations from both sides are making progress toward resolving this issue.

The announcement that Tucker Carlson, who continues his journalistic activities on the social media platform X after leaving the FOX news channel, would interview Russian President Putin became a major topic in the US media.

Putin, who agreed to speak to Carlson, gave his first interview to Western media since 2019.

While there were criticisms in some European and US media regarding Tucker Carlson's interview, the American journalist was accused of acting as a mouthpiece for Putin's propaganda.
