Qassam Brigades launch missile attack on Israel

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced that they carried out missile attacks from southern Lebanon on a military base in northern Israel. The statement indicated that two separate attacks were conducted.

According to a statement from the Israeli military; the Al-Qassam Brigades carried out two intermittent attacks on Kiryat Shmona from southern Lebanon.

The report stated that 4 missiles were fired in the first attack targeting the settlement and 10 missiles in the second, noting that there were no casualties, although some missiles struck empty houses.

In a statement, the Lebanese branch of Hamas's armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, stated that the military base in the Beit Hillel area in northern Israel was targeted twice with a total of 40 Grad missiles.

The Qassam Brigades stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for Israel's crimes against Palestinians in Gaza and its targeting of Hamas leaders in Lebanon.

Meanwhile, reports in Lebanese media noted that Israeli warplanes carried out attacks on the towns of Beit Lif, Kfar Hammam, the Marjayoun plain, and Hula in the border region of southern Lebanon.
