It was announced in recent weeks that King Charles, who ascended the throne on September 8, 2022, following the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth and was crowned in a ceremony held at Westminster Abbey on May 6, would undergo a procedure.

It was stated that King Charles would go under the knife due to an enlarged prostate.

A number of engagements for the 75-year-old King were postponed due to the operation he was set to undergo.

'ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL'

In a statement made to People by Buckingham Palace yesterday, it was said, "The King was admitted to a London hospital this morning for a planned treatment. His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week and is delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness."
