Research reveals the latest point reached by the climate crisis
According to a report by The New York Times, researcher Chad Greene and his team at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory have prepared a map based on satellite imagery taken from 1985 to 2022.

According to the research, Greenland is losing an average of 30 million tons of ice per hour due to climate change. The map compiles more than 200,000 glacier images covering almost the entirety of Greenland.
Researchers examining these images determined that Greenland is losing an average of 30 million tons of ice per hour. The data showed that Greenland is melting 20 percent more than previously estimated.
Furthermore, Greenland has lost approximately five trillion tons of ice since 1992.
SEA LEVELS HAVE RISEN BY 13 MILLIMETERS
Greene stated that melting is occurring in almost every region of Greenland simultaneously and that glaciers are retreating.
The researchers noted that the additional freshwater sources caused by melting glaciers could accelerate the collapse of ocean currents.
It was reported that these meltings have caused a rise in sea levels of approximately 13 millimeters.
It was determined that only one of the more than 200 glaciers included in the study has grown since 1985.
The results of the research were published in the journal "Nature".
