Reza Pahlavi, the eldest son of the deposed Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who has been living in exile for a long time, has released a new video message regarding the ongoing mass protests in Iran. Arguing that the current demonstrations are seriously shaking the foundations of the regime, Pahlavi announced that the process has now entered a different phase.
Stating that he is announcing a new roadmap with the support he has received from the people, Pahlavi said, "Now, with the power of your million-strong response to the calls of the past days, and with the legitimacy and acceptance I have received from you, I declare the next phase of the national uprising aimed at toppling the Islamic Republic of Iran and taking back our beloved Iran."
"REGIME-AFFILIATED INSTITUTIONS ARE LEGITIMATE TARGETS"
Expressing that in addition to seizing and protecting strategic centers within Iran, disabling the regime's communication and propaganda capabilities is of vital importance, Pahlavi said, "All institutions and organizations belonging to the regime that facilitate this are considered legitimate targets."
Pahlavi also called on the security forces serving on behalf of the Iranian regime, emphasizing that this group now has to make a choice. Regarding diplomatic missions outside of Iran, Pahlavi drew attention with the words, "Outside of Iran, all embassies and consulates belong to the Iranians. The time has come for these places to be adorned with Iran's national flag instead of the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran."
"KHAMENEI AND HIS REGIME HAVE TAKEN HEAVY BLOWS"
Stating that the Iranian people are at a critical threshold, Pahlavi argued that the current administration has suffered serious losses. "Ali Khamenei and his regime have taken heavy blows from you; we must not give them the opportunity to breathe again," said Pahlavi, further claiming that the regime's use of weapons against the demonstrations is a sign of weakness.
Evaluating this situation, Pahlavi stated, "This is not due to strength, but due to a lack of soldiers and the fear of a faster collapse and overthrow. We will not allow these criminals to shed more of our youth's blood. We will not give them an opportunity. We will not take a step back."
"WE WILL TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK"
Painting a hopeful picture for the future at the end of his message, Pahlavi reiterated that freedom in Iran is near. He concluded his statement by saying, "We are not alone. Global support will arrive soon. Wait for the next messages from me. Soon we will take our country back from the Islamic Republic of Iran and we will hold celebrations of freedom and victory all over Iran."
