Robot police officer catches criminal in the US

In the US state of Texas, 39-year-old Felix Delarosa, who opened fire on police from his hotel room, was apprehended after a robot police officer intervened with tear gas.

A robot police officer has caused astonishment in the US. In the city of Lubbock, Texas, 39-year-old Felix Delarosa, who had an active arrest warrant for a parole violation, opened fire on police officers who arrived at his hotel.

The teams sent a robot police officer to the front of the room where Delarosa was staying due to the standoff, and the 39-year-old attacker threw a bedsheet over the robot.

The robot police officer, having freed itself from the sheet, fired tear gas into the room, neutralizing Delarosa. In the recorded footage, Delarosa, affected by the gas, was seen crawling out of the room's window.

Noticing that the suspect had exited the room, the robot police officer climbed onto Delarosa, preventing him from escaping. Delarosa, captured by the robot, was arrested by the teams on the scene.

Delarosa was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2017 for manufacturing and delivering controlled substances. According to state prison records, Delarosa was released on parole in April 2022.
