Russia: 94 Ukrainian UAVs shot down

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense forces destroyed a total of 94 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over various regions of Russia throughout last night.

According to the statement from the ministry, Russian air defense systems destroyed a total of 94 UAVs belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with two-thirds of them over the Belgorod Region.

The statement included the following: “Throughout the past night and on the morning of May 24, 94 fixed-wing Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed by on-duty air defense systems.”

According to the statement, 64 UAVs were destroyed over the Belgorod Region, 24 over the Bryansk Region, two each over the Kursk and Lipetsk regions, and one each over the Voronezh and Tula regions.

The Ukrainian military attempts daily attacks on facilities within Russian territory using UAVs and various unmanned vehicles. All of the unmanned vehicles from Ukraine that target infrastructure facilities in Moscow and its surrounding region are destroyed by the Russian military before they can reach their targets.
