The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that the settlement of Memryk in the Donetsk region has been brought under the control of the Russian army.
The ministry's statement included information regarding the actions of the Russian armed forces in Ukraine.
In the statement, which reported that the Russian army continues to advance on the front in Ukraine, it was stated that 'As a result of their active operations, units of the Center Military Group have liberated the settlement of Memryk in the Donetsk People's Republic.'
The statement also noted, 'Since the beginning of the military operation, 642 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 31 thousand 166 UAVs, 579 air defense missile systems, 17 thousand 969 tanks and armored vehicles, 1447 multiple launch rocket systems, 14 thousand 358 howitzers and mortars, and 25 thousand 825 special military vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian army have been destroyed.'
The statement recorded that attacks were carried out in 148 areas where Ukrainian soldiers and military equipment were deployed in the last 24 hours, and it was reported that 45 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) belonging to Ukraine were shot down by Russian air defense systems.
