Russia attacked Ukraine with over 200 UAVs on New Year's Eve

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in a post on his social media account that his country was subjected to an intense air attack on the night welcoming the New Year. In his statement, he reported that the Russian army carried out over 200 unmanned aerial vehicle attacks on Ukraine.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia has shown its determination to continue its war efforts in the new year as well. "Russia intends to continue waging war in the new year. More than 200 attack UAVs were launched at Ukraine tonight," the Ukrainian leader said, drawing attention to the increasing intensity of the attacks.
In his call to allied countries, the Ukrainian President underscored that priority must be given to strengthening his country's air defense capacity. Zelenskyy said, "If the attacks do not stop even during the New Year holidays, the delivery of air defense equipment must not be delayed."
Zelenskyy also noted that a large portion of the unmanned aerial vehicles used in the attack were neutralized by Ukrainian air defense units. This new attack experienced in Ukraine on New Year's Eve has led the country to reiterate its request for international support.
