Russia fines Google and TikTok 9 million rubles
A court in Russia has fined Google and TikTok a total of 9 million rubles (approximately 104 thousand dollars) for failing to restrict access to certain content.

The cases against Google and TikTok were heard in the capital, Moscow.
The court, ruling that the laws were not complied with because "access to certain prohibited content was not restricted" on the platforms in question, ordered Google to pay a fine of 5 million rubles and TikTok to pay 4 million rubles.
In Russia, foreign platforms such as Google and TikTok have previously been fined for similar reasons.
