Russia launches intercontinental ballistic missile

Russia has conducted a test of an intercontinental ballistic missile. Moscow stated that the test program was carried out successfully.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that an intercontinental ballistic missile was launched for testing purposes.

In a statement from the ministry, it was noted, "An intercontinental ballistic missile was successfully launched for testing purposes at the Kapustin Yar test site. This took place within the scope of the state's missile system testing program."

The statement added that "the objective of the test was achieved and the effectiveness of Russian missiles was demonstrated."
