Russia may ban gasoline exports again
The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has announced that it supports the re-imposition of a ban on gasoline exports in the country starting August 1.

In a written statement from the FAS, it was stated that the gasoline export ban has made the situation in the domestic market more stable during periods of high demand.
Pointing out that the ban also reduced price fluctuations during scheduled maintenance processes at refineries, the statement said, "The FAS supports the re-entry into force of the ban on gasoline starting August 1."
The Russian government banned gasoline exports on March 1, and subsequently introduced exemptions for exports to various countries, including members of the Eurasian Economic Union.
