Russia responds to Trump's submarine statement: They are under control

Viktor Vodolatsky, a member of the Russian State Duma and First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, responded to US President Donald Trump's statement today, in which he said, "In light of Medvedev's highly provocative statements, I have ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines to appropriate regions."

In a statement to Russian media, MP Vodolatsky said, "There are far more Russian nuclear submarines in the world's oceans than American ones.

So, let Trump's 2 submarines sail around a bit. They have been under control for a long time.

There is no need for Russia to respond to the US leader's statement about submarines. There will be no response from us, because we know very well who Donald Trump is. The last few months have shown that he changes his opinion every day," he said.

TRUMP'S STATEMENT

US President Trump stated on his social media platform Truth Social today, "In light of the highly provocative statements by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who is the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, I have ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines to appropriate regions in case these foolish and provocative words are not just words. Words are very important and can often lead to unintended consequences; I hope this is not one of those situations. Thank you for your attention to this matter."
