Russia is targeting Ukraine with airstrikes.
Russian forces launched a missile attack on the city of Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Kryvyi Rih Mayor Oleksandr Vilkul reported that 14 people lost their lives in the attack, noting that there was a playground near the scene. Local sources reported that at least 50 people were injured.
"THE US HAS THE POWER TO DETER RUSSIA FROM WAR"
In a post on his social media account following the attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that 6 of those who lost their lives were children and that 5 buildings were damaged.
Zelenskyy stated, "Russian attacks every day. Deaths every day. There is only one reason for this to continue: Russia does not want a ceasefire. We see this. The whole world sees this.
Every missile, every attack drone proves that Russia only wants war. The pressure the world puts on Russia, the strengthening of Ukraine, the increase of our air defense and our power will determine when the war will end. The US, Europe, and all other countries in the world have the power to deter Russia from terror and war. We need peace," he said.
