Over the Baltic Sea, a Russian reconnaissance aircraft flying in international airspace caused an alarm for the German Air Force (Luftwaffe).

Reports in German media stated that fighter jets were scrambled in an emergency due to an Ilyushin Il-20 Russian reconnaissance aircraft flying without a transponder off the coast of Rügen Island.
In a statement on the German Air Force's X social media account, it was announced that "a Russian military reconnaissance aircraft was briefly escorted over the Baltic Sea."
A similar incident occurred in April of last year, when German fighter jets escorted a Russian aircraft for a time and directed it away from the airspace.
