Russian army captures new territory in Donetsk

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the settlement of Mirolyubovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has come under the control of Russian troops. Continuing their advance as part of the special military operation in Donbass, Russian forces also carried out numerous air and missile strikes against Ukrainian positions.

The Russian Ministry of Defense shared updated data regarding the progress of its ongoing special military operation in Ukraine and Donbass.

According to the statement from the ministry, units of the 'Tsentr' (Center) Military Group of the Russian army took control of the settlement of Mirolyubovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) through active operations.

As Russian troops continue to advance along the front, the losses sustained by Ukrainian armed formations amounted to 1,375 soldiers, 4 tanks, and 17 armored combat vehicles.

As a result of a group strike carried out with warplanes, unmanned aerial vehicles, and missiles against 132 locations in Ukraine, an artillery manufacturing workshop and areas where Ukrainian soldiers and military equipment were concentrated were destroyed.

Russian air defense forces intercepted 8 JDAM guided aerial bombs, one HIMARS missile, and 74 aircraft-type UAVs belonging to the Ukrainian army.
