Russian cargo ship sinks in the Mediterranean
The Russian Foreign Ministry has announced that a Russian cargo ship has sunk in Mediterranean waters.

A Russian cargo ship has sunk in the Mediterranean.
According to a statement from the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Foreign Ministry, an explosion occurred in the engine room of the Russian-owned cargo ship "Ursa Major" in international waters of the Mediterranean.
As a result of the explosion, the ship took on water and sank.

While 14 of the 16 crew members serving on the ship were rescued, search and rescue efforts are ongoing for the 2 missing individuals.
