Russian President Putin meets with Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi

Regarding Iran's resistance against the attacks by the US and Israel, Putin said, "We see that the Iranian people are fighting courageously and heroically for their independence and sovereignty." Stating that he had received a message from Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei, Putin expressed his sincerest gratitude for the message.
The meeting was attended on the Russian side by Kremlin Foreign Policy Advisor Yury Ushakov, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the Russian General Staff Igor Kostyukov, and on the Iranian side by Araghchi, as well as Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi and Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali.
In his opening remarks at the meeting, Putin spoke about Iran's resistance to the attacks by the US and Israel, saying, "We see that the Iranian people are fighting courageously and heroically for their independence and sovereignty."
MESSAGE FROM KHAMENEI
Stating that he had received a message from Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei, Putin expressed his sincerest gratitude for the message.
Emphasizing that Russia confirms its intention to maintain strategic relations just like Iran, Putin said, "Of course, we have great hope that the Iranian people, under the leadership of a new leader and relying on their courage and desire for independence, will overcome this difficult period and that peace will come."
Putin stated that Russia, Iran, and other countries in the region will do everything possible to bring peace to the Middle East as soon as possible in line with their interests.
The Russian leader Putin conveyed his best wishes for health to Iranian leader Khamenei.

Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi thanked Putin for sending a message of condolence following the death of Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the US-Israeli attacks and for congratulating the newly elected leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
Conveying the greetings of Mojtaba Khamenei and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Putin, Araghchi touched upon the relations between Russia and Iran and noted the following:
"The relations between Russia and Iran represent a high-level strategic partnership. We will continue on this path. Bilateral relations will strengthen despite what has happened. As you mentioned, it has been proven to the whole world that the Iranian people, with their courage, have resisted and will continue to resist US aggression. Iran has friends and allies like Russia. Russia stands by Iran in difficult times. Thank you for the strong and decisive support you have given to Iran."
