Russian Security Council warns UK: "It means war!"
Dmitry Medvedev stated that the deployment of British military units to Ukraine under a security agreement would amount to a declaration of war against Russia.

In a statement on his social media account, Medvedev reacted to the UK signing a security agreement with Ukraine. Stating that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak had arrived in Kyiv to sign the agreement with Ukraine, Medvedev reported that Ukraine had attacked the Russian city of Belgorod in the south with cluster bombs provided by Western countries.
Asking how the West would react if the British delegation in Kyiv were to be exposed to cluster bombs, Medvedev said, "One more thing: I hope our eternal enemies, the arrogant British, understand that deploying their official military contingent to Ukraine would mean a declaration of war against our country."
Security agreement between Ukraine and the UK
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak signed a security agreement between the two countries in Kyiv.
According to the Office of the President of Ukraine, the main components of the security commitments provided to Kyiv in the agreement include providing comprehensive assistance to Ukraine to protect and restore its territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, rebuild its economy, protect its citizens, prevent and actively deter and counter any military escalation or new aggression by Russia, and support Ukraine's future integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions by supporting Ukraine's reform plans and NATO interoperability.
According to the agreement, an additional 2.5 billion pounds in support will be provided to Ukraine in 2024, and a contribution will be made to the development of Ukraine's naval fleet. Support for Ukraine will continue for the 10 years that this agreement is in effect.
The agreement in question provides for cooperation between Ukraine and the UK in the fields of cybersecurity, information security, combating information propaganda, fighting organized crime, and in political and other areas.
