The awards have been presented at the 15th SOHO Film Festival held in the US. Renowned actress Saadet Işıl Aksoy won the 'Best Actress' award for her role in the film 'Sürgün' (Exile).
The successful actress, who has frequently made headlines in both national and international press for her nominations, awards, and jury memberships at festivals considered 'prestigious,' has now succeeded in winning an award at the US-based SOHO Film Festival.
Produced by Türker İnanoğlu, 'Sürgün' was directed by Erol Özlevi. The film was submitted to the SOHO Film Festival through Özlevi's efforts.

Aksoy, who played the character 'Eleni' in the film 'Sürgün' which was released in 2013, announced the news in a post on her X account.
The successful actress shared the following statement:
'I woke up to some wonderful news from New York. Our film, which we shot years ago, was submitted to the Soho Film Festival under the title 'Exile' through the initiative of our director Erol Özlevi. It has brought me the 'Best Actress Award.' Life is full of surprises.'
