Sanctions on Russia from the US and EU

The US has announced that it will impose sanctions on Russia. The US Treasury Secretary stated, "Sanctions on Russia will increase significantly. We will begin implementing very serious sanctions on Russia either after the stock markets close today or first thing tomorrow." The European Union has also approved its 19th package of sanctions against Russia.

Bessent continued his remarks as follows: "Putin did not come to the table as honestly and clearly as we had hoped. This will be one of the largest sanctions we have ever imposed on Russia to date."

EU APPROVES 19TH SANCTIONS PACKAGE

Following the US, more bad news for Putin came from the European Union (EU). The EU announced that it has approved its 19th sanctions package against Russia.
