The official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) announced that financial and economic support will be provided to the Yemeni government.
The statement indicated that $300 million will be deposited into the Central Bank of Yemen, and an additional $200 million will be provided to help cover the country's budget deficit.
The statement expressed that by supporting the Yemeni government, Saudi Arabia aims to "establish financial and economic stability, strengthen public finances, develop state institutions, and enhance governance and transparency."
In Yemen, the Iran-backed Houthis have held control of the capital, Sanaa, and several other regions since September 2014.
Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition forces have been supporting the Yemeni government against the Houthis since March 2015.
