Research by an organization called ISGAP, which examines foreign funding for universities in the US, determined that Yale University concealed the funds. According to US law, universities are required to report foreign funding and gifts exceeding 250 thousand dollars to the federal government every 6 months.
While it was noted that there are similar agreements between other universities in the US and Qatar, the parties involved have not made a statement regarding the matter.
