A drone has been detected once again over Munich Airport, located in southern Germany and one of the country's most important airports.

According to a statement by the Munich Airport police, the airport's runways were closed to takeoffs and landings starting at 9:28 PM local time due to the drone threat.

Flights scheduled to land at Munich Airport were diverted to nearby cities.

A drone was spotted over the Munich Airport complex on the evening of Thursday, October 2, which led to the cancellation of 32 flights and the diversion of scheduled incoming flights to other airports.

3,000 passengers were left stranded at the airport.

During the investigation into that incident, it was determined that the drone in question had been flying over a German Armed Forces base near Munich Airport.
