According to a report by the German-language publication Blick, mother Ricarda Louk, who claims that Palestinian sources have been in contact with her, said that her daughter was taken to a hospital in Gaza after suffering severe head injuries.

Sending a video message to the German television channel NTV, the mother said, "We have more information that Shani is alive." The mother also stated that she received this information from Palestinian sources. The accuracy of the information has not yet been verified.

Shani was one of many victims kidnapped in the attack on the Nova music festival near Gaza on Saturday.

In their raid on the festival grounds, Hamas members killed 260 unarmed civilians, wounded many others, and took some of the victims with them as hostages to Gaza.

In one of the videos that surfaced on social media, the 22-year-old young woman was seen on the back of a pickup truck, under the feet of Hamas militants, with her legs bent and unconscious. A young Palestinian was seen spitting on her motionless body as he passed by. The images spread rapidly on social media.

Ricarda Louk was certain from the very beginning that the woman in the images was her daughter due to her long dreadlocks and tattoos.
