OpenAI Chief Technology Officer Mira Murati, who played a critical role in the development of ChatGPT and DALL-E at OpenAI, has decided to leave the company.
In a message sent to the OpenAI team and posted on X, Murati stated, "The past six and a half years with the OpenAI team have been an extraordinary privilege. There is never an ideal time to step away from a place one cherishes, but this moment feels like the right time."
With this decision, Murati, who is an engineer, joins a series of high-level executives who have departed from OpenAI.
OpenAI is currently experiencing a management crisis. The US-based artificial intelligence company is attempting to create a controversial growth plan that includes making it easier to raise funds from investors and generate revenue.
