South Korea launches its first spy satellite
South Korea has launched its spy satellite, which was carried by a "Falcon 9" rocket produced by the US-based space company SpaceX.

According to a report by Yonhap, the South Korean Ministry of National Defense announced that the spy satellite carried by the "Falcon 9" rocket was launched from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in the US state of California.
The rocket completed its liftoff at 10:19 local time and deployed the spy satellite into orbit 4 minutes later.
The launch was broadcast live on the SpaceX website.
PLANS TO SEND FOUR MORE SATELLITES
South Korea plans to send four more radar satellites by 2025.
The South Korean Ministry of National Defense had previously announced that the launch date of the first military spy satellite, which was scheduled for November 30, had been postponed to December 2 due to poor weather conditions.
North Korea launched a rocket carrying a spy satellite toward the south on November 21.
