Spanish PM Sanchez reacts to US statements on Lebanon: It must be included

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez condemned Israel's attacks on Lebanon in a statement released via social media.

Sanchez stated, "Netanyahu has carried out the most violent attack today since the start of the attacks on Lebanon.

His disregard for human life and international law has reached intolerable levels. It is time to speak clearly. Lebanon must be included in the ceasefire.

The international community must condemn this new violation of international law. The European Union (EU) should suspend its partnership agreement with Israel. These criminal acts must not go unpunished."

Albares: "Israel's continued occupation of this country is unacceptable"

Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares also stated that it is unacceptable for Israel to continue its ground operation against Lebanon after a ceasefire was reached between the US and Iran. The Spanish Minister said, "The war must stop on all fronts, and all fronts also mean Lebanon. It is unacceptable for Israel to continue fighting against and occupying a sovereign country like Lebanon."

Israel carried out its largest-scale airstrike today since the attacks on Lebanon began on March 2. According to the latest statement from the Lebanese Civil Defense, 254 people were killed and 1,165 people were injured in the attacks targeting various regions of the country.

According to data from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, more than 1,500 people, including 130 children, have lost their lives in the country since the beginning of the war. Due to the war, more than 1.2 million people, corresponding to approximately one-fifth of the country's population, have been displaced.
