The Spanish National Police announced that they have dismantled a criminal gang identified as having robbed the homes of several footballers in Madrid at different times, and that 6 people have been arrested.

It was stated that the criminal gang, which was found to have robbed the homes of several footballers including Radamel Falcao and Rodrygo Goes, carried out burglaries in the capital Madrid and surrounding districts.

The Spanish National Police shared information that the criminal gang in question has been dismantled and that burglaries were committed in 8 homes, the majority of which belonged to footballers.

It was revealed that the thieves, who tracked the lives of the footballers and their families, as well as their entry and exit times, by specifically monitoring their social media accounts and working through videos and photos, most recently robbed a house containing luxury watches and jewelry in May 2023.

While burglaries in the homes of footballers have been frequently encountered in Spain in recent years, most recently Sergio Ramos's farmhouse in Seville was robbed in September 2023.
