A stabbing attack that took place on Thursday in the Israeli city of Ramat Gan caused widespread panic. A 47-year-old man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was critically wounded during the attack, and first responders who arrived quickly at the scene treated the victim and transported him to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.
Police officials announced that they had launched a large-scale search operation in the area to apprehend the suspect following the attack. The efforts yielded results in a short time, and it was reported that one person has been taken into custody.
The Magen David Adom emergency medical service stated that the wounded man's condition remains critical.
