YouTube has announced that it has paid out a total of more than 100 billion dollars to content creators since 2021.
As the platform celebrates its 20th anniversary, it emphasized the "power of creators to reshape culture and entertainment."
According to data shared by YouTube's Chief Product Officer Johanna Voolich, the number of channels earning over 100 thousand dollars from TV viewership in 2025 increased by 45 percent compared to the previous year.
Google had previously announced earlier this year that YouTube has been at the top of TV viewership for months.
Additionally, YouTube introduced new AI-powered tools for Shorts. Content creators will now be able to add music, transitions, and voiceovers to their videos, and even turn dialogue into songs to use in short-form videos.
