Following the conclusion of the first round of negotiations conducted by US and Iranian delegations in the Swiss town of Bürgenstock, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made statements regarding the talks.
"ACHIEVED SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS TOWARD ENDING THE LEBANON WAR"
In a post on his social media account, Araghchi stated, "The tireless mediation of Pakistan and Qatar has achieved significant progress toward ending the Lebanon War."
Noting that progress has also been made on other topics, Araghchi said, "Restrictions on oil and petrochemical exports have been lifted, the blockade has been ended, some frozen assets have been released, and a comprehensive reconstruction and development plan for Iran has been initiated."

Reminding that the parties have reached an agreement on establishing a conflict prevention mechanism to end military operations in Lebanon, Araghchi declared, "The first real test: Lebanon de-confliction mechanism."
