Pakistan's Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, National Heritage and Culture, Attaullah Tarar, announced that they have received credible intelligence suggesting that India intends to launch a military operation within the next 24 to 36 hours.
Minister Tarar issued a written statement regarding the terrorist attack in the Pahalgam region of Jammu and Kashmir.
Tarar stated, "We have received credible intelligence that India intends to launch a military operation within the next 24 to 36 hours, using baseless allegations regarding Pahalgam as a pretext."
Noting that India has rejected Pakistan's proposal for an independent commission to investigate the attack, Tarar said, "However, unfortunately, instead of following the path of reason, India appears to have decided to embark on a dangerous path of conflict that will have catastrophic consequences for the entire region."
Reiterating that any attack by India would be met with a 'firm and decisive' response, Tarar said, "The international community must not forget the fact that the responsibility for the consequences of this lies directly with India."
